Through the Bavarian Alps to Austria

This evening we are in Austria again, having left Munich this morning & eventually Germany this afternoon.
Our sightseeing today included one of Germany's & Europe's, in fact one of the world's most famous buildings - the magical castle of Neuschwanstein, the model for Disney's Cinderella castle!
It was rain or wet for most of the day but thankfully it didn't rain hard any time we were off the bus, & the clouds even added to the misty romanticism of the castle.
After time for souvenirs & lunch we drove to the nearby Wieskirche, an incredibly ornate Rococo church located in a field in the middle of the countryside, built here to house a mysterious status of Christ.
Our final stop was in nearby Oberammergau, site of the famous Passion Play as well as being renowned for its wood carving & painted houses.
Finally we ended our day in the village of Flumes, near Innsbruck, where we enjoyed a ling dinner & had time to relax after a busy few days.
